What tests with ZoneX ?
Tests integrated with PAIRFS software
If you have a connected treadmill or exercise bike, the PAIRFS software allows you to easily perform ramp-up tests to determine your ventilatory thresholds.
You can also connect a heart rate sensor (optional).
You can adjust the following test parameters:
Warm-up duration and intensity
Treadmill incline, if applicable
Starting effort (100W or 8 km/h by default)
Duration of stages (60 seconds by default)
Increment between stages (20W and 0.5 km/h by default)
The PAIRFS software will program the test protocol, synchronize the data, and automatically find the thresholds at the end of the test.

Open protocols
You can also follow other protocols or perform tests without a connected treadmill, but by manually adjusting the speed levels.
During the test, you can annotate events with a button while recording. This generates a signal synchronized with the staircase-shaped data. You must then reconcile the moment the thresholds appear with your protocol.
For example, if your treadmill is not connected, you must change speeds manually. Simply click the button each time you change speed.
At the end of the recording, it is also possible to synchronize the data from a FIT file with the respiratory data in the PAIRFS software.
For example, if you record your heart rate with a Garmin watch, you can synchronize the information afterwards.
Outdoor testing
The PAIRFS mobile app allows you to record tests in outdoor conditions.
The app is synchronized on the athlete's phone and with your app (user license).
The app simply records the signals and, at the end of the test, automatically transfers them to your software for analysis.
The app will emit a sound or notification at regular intervals, but the protocol is flexible.
